thank you for another amazing event
We sold out for the 4th straight year and raised $42,000 for our programs that are changing lives each week.
Check out some testimonials about how we/you are helping folks lead healthier, happier, and more connected lives.
Final Instructions
Thanks for joining us at the 15th annual TurkeyBurner 5K. We’re looking forward to seeing everyone again this year.
The spillway parking lot is completely open for parking (200 spots). The Start/Finish will be the same as last year, South Ball fields (1921 East Drive, Hinckley). Half of this lot will be reserved for volunteers and vendors, see below for other parking options.
Parking will still be tight because we have 900 participants this year so please carpool, come early, and be willing to park in one of the outer lots. Please make every effort to pick-up your race packets (numbers, shirts) on 11/26, 3-6 pm, 2425 Medina Rd, Medina.
Parking
Please carpool and arrive early! Parking at the Start/Finish line will mostly be reserved for volunteers/vendors.
Here are the parking options:
Sledding Hill/East Ball (1953 State Rd, Hinckley) can accommodate about 130 cars. Once the lot is full, park along one side (south) of the driveway. It’s just a ¼ mile walk/jog along the path to the start line.
The Spillway lot (910 Bellus Rd, Hinckley) can hold 200 or so cars and you’ll be less than ½ mile to the start (turn right and walk up the hill).
Indian Point is right across East Dr from the Start and can hold 22 cars.
North Ball field holds 15 and is less than a ¼ mile.
The Ranger station (969 Bellus Rd) holds 64 cars and is 0.63 miles to the start.
There are a few other lots within ¾ of mile.
Do not park on the grass or along aside the road (except at East Ball); you’ll get ticketed or towed.
Course
We’ll start on East Drive by the South Ball fields and run counterclockwise around the lake staying on the paved path. It will be a tad shy of 5K because of the changes but don’t worry the hills will more than make up for the shorter distance. You’ll finish on the path.
1-mile runners/walker will start with everyone and then turn around at the bottom of the hill just after you turn onto Bellus. You’ll come back up the path and finish right after the bridge.
The course is all paved and well marked. Strollers are welcome but please start towards the back unless you are speedy.
There will be a water stop at about the half way point.
Road closures
East Dr. from Bellus Rd to State Rd will be closed from 9 AM until 9:45 AM. That means you won’t be able to leave before 9:45 if you park at any lot on East Drive.
Packet Pick-up/Registration
Early packet pick-up is on 11/26 from 3 pm until 6 pm at 2425 Medina Rd, Medina.
You can pick up for friends and family.

Course Map
We start and finish at the South Ball Fields parking lot. We’ll be running on the paved bike path counterclockwise around the lake, so keep turning left. It will be well marked and volunteers will be at all road crossings.
1-mile walkers will turn around at the corner of Bellus and East. There will be a water stop at about the 1.5-mile mark, just past the boat house.
