Weekly groups:

  • All paces are welcome (running or walking) and we strive to partner up so no one is alone.

  • The goal is positive social interaction, we discourage headphones.

  • Outside is preferred for fresh air and sunshine.

  • We generally chat and warm up for 15 minutes, exercise for 30-40 minutes, then stretch and chat for another 15 mins.

  • If you come to three consecutive meetings we will help you buy a pair of new high quality running shoes. Not just as a reward but because appropriate footwear is critical to avoiding injury. We ask all to contribute what they can and we use all donations to “pay it forward” to pay for the next shoes.

  • We have negotiated discounts with most rec centers and can also help those in need by paying for memberships/day passes.
